In Maharashtra, there are only 3 colleges- IIT Mumbai, IIIT Pune, and NIT Nagpur, which offer admissions through JEE Mains. All parents want the best for their children, so they aim for JEE, but when it comes to sending a child outside of Maharashtra to a slightly better college they think practically and end up taking admission through CET. It’s better to take a holistic view and make an informed decision in the beginning to avoid unnecessary pressure, effort, and waste of money. If you don’t want to send your child outside Pune / Maharashtra or you know your child mayn’t secure rank to get into institutes like IITs/NITs, it is better to be realistic and prepare for CET as you are aware of untoward incidents happening around due to too much pressure on students.
